A retirement luncheon was held for Tim Money, the Crenshaw County manager of the Alabama Forestry Commission, in recognition of his 25 years and 5 months of service.

The luncheon was held at the Tom Harbin Ag Center on Monday, April 30, 2007, Money's last official day on the job.

Approximately 80 well wishers were in attendance, with 60 of those being members from the Alabama State Forestry Commission, which represented almost half the counties in the state of Alabama.

Among those present to celebrate Money's retirement were his wife Carolyn, his son Woody, and his daughter Suzanne. Also in attendance were several friends, acquaintances and landowners from Crenshaw County.

Money started working with the Alabama Forestry Commission in Dec. of 1981, and he came to Crenshaw County in Nov. of 1982.

Money's position within the county will not be replaced; instead, Mac Prince from Ozark, Ala., will be assuming the county manager's duties for both Pike and Crenshaw counties.
