Helispec, Inc., the helicopter repair and overhaul facility located in Brantley, Ala., recently announced that it had landed three new contracts, including one for the United States Navy, the Army National Guard and the U.S. Army.

The National Guard and Army contracts, according to Vice President Mark Topping, include corrosion prevention work and repainting on UH-60 Blackhawks and CH47 Chinooks. The contracts were awarded to the company during the month of May.

Also, the Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River, Maryland, awarded an indefinite quantity contract to procure technical and engineering support for the TH-6B aircraft program at the United States Naval Test Pilot School at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division.

For this contract, Helispec will provide engineering services including Rapid Action Minor Engineering Change (RAMEC) development, overhaul/rework procedures, publication reviews and updates, the manufacture of parts, and drive-in repair of the aircraft. The contract is for $1 million.

This is the second contract that has been awarded to the company by the U.S. Navy at Patuxent River.
