Well, we’re down to the last set of bowl games, and I’m pleased to say that the ones so far haven’t disappointed.

A great season has led to a great set of bowls so far, and that trend should continue with this batch on New Year’s Day and beyond.

Outback

In past years, Wisconsin has given the SEC fits in bowl games, but the Vols have turned it up in the late part of the season.

Missouri has been one of the top teams in the country this year and was only a win away from the national championship game.

With all the turmoil at Arkansas, I give Mizzou the advantage.

Texas Tech is one of the nation’s premier offenses, and they almost took out several top Big 12 teams.

We’ll have to see if Virginia’s offense can keep them in check.

Another year, another Big 10 opponent for Florida.

I expect this outcome to be much the same as the national championship last year.

Illinois has had a great season, but do they have enough in them to be giant-killers again?

I’m not sure.

This one has the potential to be as good as Oklahoma-Boise State was last year.

However, I think Georgia will just be too dominant for Hawaii.

At the end of the season, Oklahoma was playing football as well as anyone in the country, and I don’t think West Virginia will be prepared for the Sooners.

Rutgers hasn’t had as good a season as last year, but they’ve still been solid.

I give them the edge over Ball State.

Tulsa has one of the top offenses in the country, and I don’t think Bowling Green will be able to contain the Golden Hurricane.

Allstate BCS Championship Game

It’s Ohio State’s second straight shot at a national championship and the second straight time they’re playing an SEC school.

I think LSU is good enough to win, and they’re also lucky enough to win even if OSU plays better.

It’ll be closer than last year’s national championship, but it’ll still be a clear victory for the SEC.
