Mr. Tommy Syler, 84, of Andalusia, died Sun., Oct. 5, 2008, in an Andalusia hospital.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tues., Oct. 7, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Pritchett officiating. Burial followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Atkins of Andalusia; his sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Brenda Syler and Johnny and Elois Syler of Andalusia; his grandchildren, Heather and Terry German, Barry Griggs, Chris Atkins, Alan and Lesa Syler, Scott Syler, Robbie and Mindy Barton and Michael and April Barton; nine great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Bennie Ruth (Bob) Layne of Owens Crossroads, Ala.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Barry Griggs, Chris Atkins, Terry German and Randy Helms. Honorary pallbearers will be the men’s Sunday school class of Southside Baptist Church.
