Summer Rogers

Ms. Summer Danella Rogers was born in Opp, on Aug. 3, 1979, to Ms. Betty Jean Green and John H. Womack, both of Opp. She departed this life on Oct. 3, 2008, in Pensacola, Fla. The family of Summer Rogers wishes to express our deepest thanks of appreciation for all acts of kindness shown during our loss. May the blessing of God our Father be upon each of you. Special thanks to Bishop P. Jackson and his family.
A home going celebration in loving memory of Summer Danella Rogers will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 at Nazareth Baptist Church in Opp. Reverend Teddy Hill and Bishop Pereprencker Jackson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Hardin Street Cemetery with Hall Funeral Home of Georgiana directing.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church on Monday.
She is survived by one son, My’Son Verell Rogers of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; mother, Betty Jean Green of Opp; father and stepmother, John H. (Gwendolyn) Womack of Opp; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shannon (Tyrone) Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Tammy (Jermaine) Wilson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Sarah Jackson, Sarasota, Fla.; brothers, Michael Womack of Bristol, Pa., Toney Lewis of Bristol, Pa., Maurice Wright of Mississippi, David Lewis of Cedar Rapids and Jerome Lewis of Cedar Rapids; special aunt, Jewel Womack-Edwards and her husband Larry; special friend, Larry Stanford; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
