Vera Mae George, 94, of Andalusia, died Fri., Oct. 17, 2008, in an Andalusia nursing home.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 20, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Pritchett officiating. Interment followed in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. George was retired from Andalusia Regional Hospital after many years of working as a nurse’s aide.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Roy Foreman, Ray Foreman, Lynn Foreman, Mary Alice Cauley and Lucille Norsworthy Andrews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Mrs. George was preceded in death by her son, Halton George; daughter-in-law, Annette George; brother, Woodrow Foreman; and sister, Mamie Marshall.
Pallbearers included John Odom, Allen Brown, Dalton Merritt, James Grissett, Wayne Barrington and Reggy Powell.
