Mrs. Mamie Holmes, 95, died Tues., Dec. 30, 2008, in an Opp nursing facility.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Mount Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Coter officiating.
She is survived by her great grandchildren, Micah Miller of South Carolina and Heather (Jeremy) Newman of Opp; great-great grandchildren, Jordan, Dawson, Elizabeth and Abigail; granddaughter-in-law, Pam Driver Miller; brother, Woodrow Wilson Goolsby of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death by her husband, William Kye Holmes; daughter, Inez Holmes Miller; grandson, Jimmy Miller; and six brothers and four sisters.
