The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs remain dominant their area play after claiming a 57-31 victory over Clarke County Friday night.

Andalusia went up in the first half and scored 28 points compared to Clarke’s 17.

The Lady Bulldogs (16-2, 4-0 in Class 4A, Area 3) kept up their high scoring in the second half putting up 23 additional points.

Andalusia coach Bennie Shellhouse said all looked good on the “defensive” front Friday.

“I thought we played physical and really good defense,” Shellhouse said. “We kept them off balance a little bit with playing scatter man to man.”

Leading scorers for the Lady Bulldogs were Anjelica White with 19 points and Alexis Horton with 18.

Shellhouse said on next week’s game against Hillcrest-Evergreen, his team will have to keep their composure on the court and try for a win.

The Lady Bulldogs host Hillcrest-Evergreen next Tuesday night. Tip off is at 4:30 p.m. with the B-team.
