Mr. Burl McClellan, 68, of Andalusia, died Tues., Jan. 20, 2009, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a native of Defuniak Springs, Fla., and served his country as a serviceman in the U.S. Air Force. He worked all over the world in the offshore drilling industry.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Betty Sue Wallace McClellan of Andalusia; his children, Michael Shannon McClellan of Andalusia, Charlene (Kevin) Purdum of Savannah, Ga., and Colin Garret McClellan of Andalusia; seven grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Edsel McClellan of Montgomery and a brother and sister-in-law, Rodney (Diane) McClellan of Tennessee.
Mr. McClellan was preceded in death by his brother, Paul McClellan.
