Mrs. Katherine K. Jones, 81, of Andalusia, went home to be with her Lord and her grandson, Brian Lloyd Jones, Wed., Jan. 21, 2009, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Andalusia. The Rev. John N. Foster, Dr. Fred Karthaus and the Rev. James Jerone Kilpatrick will officiate. Special music will be provided by Don Lingle and grandson-in-law, David Coram, and accompanist, Jean Kirkland. Burial will follow in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia directing.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at Keahey Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.
She is survived by her beloved husband of more than 60 years, Zelmer L. Jones of Andalusia; son and daughter-in-law, Larry L. and Clare Jones of Dothan; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Erin and David Coram, and great-granddaughter, Sarah Katherine Coram, all of Pelham; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Georgia Kilpatrick of Searcy, Ark., James Jerone and Charlotte Kilpatrick of Daleville and Harmon Gaston and Bonita Kilpatrick of Andalusia; one sister and brother-in-law, June and Winston Blackmon of Crestview, Fla; one aunt, Minnie Meadows of Anniston, and sisters-in-law, Lora Lord of Auburn and Mrs. Z.T. Jones of Auburn.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Lloyd Jones, in 2007.
Pallbearers will include Derek Blackmon, Kevin Blackmon, David Coram, Steve Meadows, Troy Jones and Jake Jones.
