Mrs. Marie Gantt Chesser, 78, formerly of River Falls, died Thurs., Jan. 22, 2009, in a Dothan Hospital.
Graveside services will be Saturday at noon at River Falls Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Douglas officiating and Foreman Brown-Service Funeral home directing.
Mrs. Chesser was preceded in death by her husband, M.D. Gantt; and son, Marion Daniel Gantt Jr.
Mrs. Chesser is survived by sons, Norman Wayne Gantt, Joseph Allen (Lesly) Gantt and Phillip Mack (Tina) Gantt, all of Andalusia; daughters, Beth Marie Gantt and Sandra Lynn Gantt, both of River Falls; a number of grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nadine Sanders of Niceville, Fla.
Pallbearers will be Clay Tyree, Alan Grimes, Shone Mitchell, Scott Weeks, Dan Gantt and Justin Gantt.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. at Foreman’s.
