Sara Tollison

Mrs. Sara Caton Tollison, 81, died Fri., Jan. 23, 2009, at the Andalusia Manor nursing facility.
She was a native of Red Level and a resident of Andalusia. Mrs. Tollison was a graduate of Red Level High School and was a member of West Highland Baptist Church. She was a member and past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Red Level Chapter 450, American Legion Auxiliary and active in the Andalusia Adult Activity Center.
Funeral services were Monday from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Stewart and the Rev. Leroy Cole officiating. Burial followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include her brother, Elbert Earl (Myra) Caton of Cantonment, Fla.; her daughter, Vivian T. (Brent) Walters, of Foley; her grandchildren, Lizanne (Stefan) Speligene of Franklin, Tenn., and Lee (Margie) Walters, of Montgomery; her great-grandchildren, Joseph Cade Speligene, Sophia Caton Walters and Harper Dianne Walters; and sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Ruth and Levrette Barrow and Curtis Williams of Red Level, as well as other nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tollison is preceded in death by her husband, Claude R. Tollison, and her son, William Lee “Billy” Tollison.
Pallbearers were Ron Taylor, Tony Fendley, Ronnie Edson, Andy Anderson, Carl Messer and Hugh Barrow.
