Straughn held its annual fall sports banquet Monday night to honor the football team and cheerleading squad.

Lettermen were honored in both the cheer squad and football team, as well as players who received special awards.

The Highest GPA award went to Ryne Taylor; the Extra Effort Award went to Jayme Dubose, Jake Bulger and Garrett Powell; the team captains are Trae Bowen, Ryne Taylor and Andrew Stokes and the Craig Franklin Leadership award went to Trae Bowen and Ryne Taylor.

In addition to the recognition of the football players for their successful season this year, the senior class gave Straughn coach Trent Taylor a countdown clock to mark the important games next season and to mark milestones that need to be met on the team.
