Johnny Hamm, Sr.

Johnny Hamm, Sr., 68, of Luverne died at his residence on Fri., Feb. 6, 2009.
Funeral services will be held on Mon., Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. at New Home Baptist Church in McKenzie with interment to follow in New Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sun., Feb. 8, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cope Funeral Home in Evergreen.
Mr. Hamm was born in Union Springs on Jan. 16, 1941, and was a truck driver by trade.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Sanford Hamm; his parents, Aubrey and Pauline Hamm; a sister, Louise Cunningham; and two brothers, William Hamm and Aubrey Hamm Jr.
He is survived by his son, Johnny Hamm, Jr. (Deanna) of Andalusia; daughters, Patricia (James) Cross of Red Level and Lisa (Steve) Moore of Luverne; a brother, Milton Hamm, Sr. of Opelika; a sister, Mary Crooks of Pine Mountain, Ga.; 12 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Cope Funeral Home of Evergreen.
