Mrs. Julia Evelyn Collum, 95, of Andalusia, died Wed., Feb. 4, 2009, in a local nursing facility. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., today, Sat., Feb. 7, Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Jackson, Miss.
Evelyn lived first in Mississippi and then Tuscaloosa for many years. In Tuscaloosa, Evelyn and her husband, Leslie, were founding and lifelong members of Forest Lake United Methodist Church. After the death of her husband, Evelyn moved to Andalusia approximately 10 years ago to be closer to her family. She has made many friends here in her time at both Savannah Terrace and Andalusia Manor.
Mrs. Collum was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Greaves Collum.
She is survived by her son, Ron and Dana Collum of Andalusia; grandchildren: Leslie Collum Price of Birmingham and Ben Collum of Tucson, Ariz.; great-grandchildren: Margaret Anne Price and Walt Price of Birming-ham; sister-in-law, Mary Collum Chapman of Jackson, Miss.; numerous special family and friends, Alex Evans, Stacey Jones, Troy Appleyard, Margaret and Murlon Seale, Tammy Daniels and Marilyn O’Neal.
