Mrs. Pauline Bess, 85, of Andalusia, died Sun., Feb. 15, 2009, at her residence.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
The family will accept flowers, or memorial contributions may be made to the West Highland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Roland Carter of Hendersonville, N.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Lewis (Madge) Sowell of Andalusia and Chapman (Kay Nell) Sowell of Phenix City; grandchildren, Angela Wright and Bobby Wade Carter, both of Hendersonville, and great grandchildren, Corey Wright and Jared Wright.
Pallbearers will include Dick Garner, Larry Sowell, Ricky Sowell, David Sowell, John Weaver and Tommy Thomas.
Mrs. Bess was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Bess, in 2005, and son, Bobby Joe Bess in 1966.
