Mrs. Bessie Mae Langford, 84, of Opp, died Sun., March 1, 2009 in the local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today from Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
She is survived by her daughters, Phala (Charles) Miller, Sula (Richard) Warren and Lisa (William) Holmes; sons, Ronald (Shirley) Langford and Ramah Langford; sisters, Faye (Billy) Deal and Peggy (James) Miles; brothers, Leonard Norsworthy and LG Norsworthy; grandchildren, Mark (Brandy) Miller, Lori (Scott) Kinsaul, Chris (Paige) Langford, Jason (Jordan) Warren, Heath Holmes, Cody Holmes, Andrew Langford and Sara Langford; and great-grandchildren, Sydney Kinsaul, Jacob Kinsaul, Ryan Miller, John Miller and Payton Langford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh B. Langford; granddaughter, Felicia Langford; parents, James and Lillian Norsworthy; sister, Bernice Skipper; and brother, Jim Norsworthy.
Her grandsons will be serving as pallbearers, and Phillip Morgan will be officiating. Wyatt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
