Don’t forget to turn your clocks ahead

Daylight saving time goes into effect at 2 a.m. Sun., March 8, which means clocks should be moved forward by one hour tonight.

This is only the third year that daylight saving time has begun the second Sunday in March. For years, the first Sunday in April was the day the clocks and other time pieces were set forward. The beginning date was changed by the federal Energy Policy Act adopted in 2005.

Daylight saving time continues until 2 a.m. Sun., Nov. 1.
