Earl Rodgers

Earl J. Rodgers, 76, died Fri., March 6, 2009, in a Montgomery hospital.
Mr. Rodgers was a former resident of Andalusia. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sun., March 8, from Wyatt Funeral Home. Burial followed in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens.
He was survived by his son, Danny Rodgers; daughters, Wanda Earlene Sanders and Margret Lynn Campbell; brother, Gene Rodgers; sisters, Ann Bowers, Margret Hitner, Darlene Dean and Patricia Sessions; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgie Lee Griffith Rodgers, and granddaughter, Laken Rodgers.
Serving as pallbearers were Danny Rodgers, Tommy Keller, Joey Davis, Bobby Rodgers, Tim Walker and Jimmy Henderson. Uncle James Flowers served Mr. Rodgers by standing as his honorary pallbearer and best friend. The Rev. Monroe Sasser officiated and Wyatt Funeral directed.
The family would like to give special thanks to the girls at the Troy Nursing Facility.
