Chris Holley, 40, of Andalusia passed away in a Birmingham hospital Tues., April 7, 2009.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Andalusia. Dr. Fred Karthaus will officiate. Special music will be provided by Dwight Crigger and Michael Rodriguez.
Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Cemetery in Florala with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
The family received friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Andalusia.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the “God be the Glory” fund at the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 788, Andalusia AL 36420.
Mr. Holley was a licensed insurance agent with Alfa Insurance and an active member of the First Baptist Church and the Andalusia Kiwanis Club. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan, fisherman and hunter. He was very involved with his children’s school and sports activities and especially loved gardening at their home with his children. He married his high school sweetheart, Tammy, on Jan. 15, 1988. Tammy and Chris were happily married for 21 years.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Grant Holley of Andalusia; his son, Christopher Grant Holley of Andalusia; daughters, Christa Mischelle Holley, a student at Troy University, and Kaitlin Nicole Holley of Andalusia; his father and mother, Alfred Dewayne Holley and Barbara Kimbro Holley of Florala; a sister and brother-in-law, Christie Suzanne and Jeremy Hanscom of Florala; maternal grandfather, Walter Kimbro of Florala; nephews, Justin Hanscom of Florala and Austin and Avery McNeill Lockhart; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Archie McNeill of Lockhart; his father-in-law, Donald Grant; and his mother-in-law, Teresa Grant.
