The Andalusia boys tennis team continued its success this season April 7 and 9, defeating T.R. Miller 9-0 and 6-3.

The Bulldogs improved to a 13-2 record as a result of these match wins against Miller.

In singles action, Andalusia’s Stephen Darby defeated T.R. Miller’s Todd Robinson; Andalusia’s Jake Ricardy defeated Miller’s Roy Brown; Andalusia’s Mitchell Clark defeated Miller’s Nick Moore; Andalusia’s Jay McCord defeated Miller’s Bryce Wilcox; Andalusia’s Mayur Patel defeated Miller’s Taylor Terry; and Andalusia’s Chris Smith defeated Miller’s Patrick Weaver.

In doubles, Andalusia’s Darby and McCord defeated Miller’s Todd Robinson and Roy Brown; Andalusia’s Clark and Ricardy defeated Miller’s Nick Moore and Bryce Wilcox; and Andalusia’s Mayur Patel and Chris Smith defeated Miller’s Taylor Terry and Patrick Weaver.

T.R. Miller’s Todd Robinson and Roy Brown defeated Andalusia’s Stephen Darby and Jake Ricardy 9-7 and 8-5, respectively, on April 9 to give the Bulldogs their only losses in single match play.

In other singles match play, Andalusia’s Mitchell Clark defeated Miller’s Nick Moore 8-5; Andalusia’s Jay McCord defeated Miller’s Bryce Wilcox 8-6; Andalusia’s Mayur Patel defeated Miller’s Taylor Terry 8-2; and Andalusia’s Chris Smith defeated Miller’s Patrick Weaver 8-1.

In doubles action, Andalusia’s Stephen Darby and Jay McCord defeated T.R. Miller’s Todd Robinson and Roy Brown 8-4; T.R. Miller’s Nick Moore and Bryce Wilcox defeated Andalusia’s Mitchell Clark and Jake Ricardy 10-8; and Andalusia’s Mayur Patel and Chris Smith defeated T.R. Miller’s Taylor Terry and Patrick Weaver 8-0.

The Bulldogs will be playing in the Class 4A sectional tournament today along with Jackson, W.S. Neal, Opp and UMS-Wright at the Lurleen B. Wallace Community College tennis courts starting at 9 a.m.
