Mr. John McCarthy, 70, of Gantt, died Thurs., April 23, 2009, in the Opp hospital.
Memorial services will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Ladonna LaVon McCarthy of Gantt; his children, Christine Berra of Riverview, Fla., Johnny McCarthy of Gantt and Scotty McCarthy of Florida; stepchildren, Paul Fowler of Gantt, Joey Fowler of Florida, Paula Fowler-Forte of Gantt and Fred Fowler of Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Laura Leonard of Florida, Mary Chambers of Florida and Kathleen Razzano of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Pat McCarthy of Florida; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
