PHS beats GHS

Pleasant Home held Greenville to two runs Monday night, winning 11-2 in Pleasant Home.
The Lady Eagles took an early 2-0 lead after the first inning after Erin Byrd scored on a ground out by Kati Reeves while Kayla Woods scored on an RBI single from Brittany Ward.
In the second inning, Kaitlin Brookshire doubled and Byrd tripled to score Brookshire.
The third inning saw Ariel Gunter and Brookshire hit a double apiece to score three runs.
Then, Byrd singled to score Brookshire.
Robyn Weaver and Brentin Fuller had doubles in the fourth to score one run.
In the fifth, Woods and Jordan McGee came around and scored on passed balls. Greenville scored its only runs in the fifth inning.
Emily Byrd earned the win for Pleasant Home, pitching 4.0 innings, allowing zero runs, one hit, one walk and striking out two.
Fuller pitched 3.0 innings, allowing two runs, four hits, zero walks and striking out three.
