Fallen but not forgotten

Attorney General Troy King was the guest speaker at Tuesday’s law enforcement memorial service in Andalusia. It is an annual event in memory of the seven Covington County law enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty.

“In the last five years, I’ve been to 23 (law enforcement officer) funerals,” King said. “That’s a reminder Alabama is not safe by accident.”

Chaplain Tim Morgan read the names of the fallen officers, which was followed by a moment of silence and the playing of “Taps.”
