James C. Tisdale, 88, of Babbie, died Sun., May 3, 2009, at the Mizell Memorial Hospital in Opp.
Funeral services were held Wed., May 6, at Wyatt Funeral Home in Opp, with the Rev. Heath Williamson presiding. Burial followed at Babbie Baptist Ceremony with Wyatt Funeral Home directing. Granddaughter Angie T. White provided special music.
Tisdale was a World War II veteran and a retired storeowner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laurice Tisdale; and his sons, Murray and Jerry Tisdale.
Survivors at the time of Tisdale’s death included his daughters, Elaine (Harold) Bass and Sue (Paul) Capps; his brothers, Donald and Taze Tisdale; his sister, Martha Baker, who followed him in death on Wed., May 6, 2009; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Greg Robbins, Greg Barber, Scott Cook, Troy Williamson, Michael Robbins and Terry Tisdale. Honorary pallbearers were Jeff and James White, Brock Moore, Dustin and Justin Tisdale and Gage Barber.
