Mrs. Sarah Jeanette Lunsford, 69, of Rose Hill died Mon., May 11, 2009, in a Mobile hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thurs., May 14, at the Good News Chapel with the Rev. Jay Driver officiating. Special music will be provided by the Driver family and the Rev. Gary Holloway. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Keahey Funeral Home and at the church one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy E. Lunsford of Rose Hill; daughters and sons-in-law, Velinda Lunsford, Sherry (Larry) Mears Sorrells and Marta (Bobby) Mears Godwin, all of Rose Hill and Judy (Tom) Lunsford of Florala; sons and daughters-in-law, Perry “Rusty” (KimberlyLynn) Mears Jr., Terry Lee Mears, Bruce E. (Karen) Lunsford, Larry D. Lunsford and Teddy D. (Everetta) Lunsford, all of Rose Hill; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Jessie (Billy) Bennett of Trinity, Texas; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank (Shirley) Charlton Jr. of Rose Hill, Charles (Lillian) Charlton of Tuscaloosa, Richard (Bonnie) Charlton and Danny and Marilyn Charlton, all of Pascagoula, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tashea Jeanette Hammett.
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Sorrells, Brock Lunsford, Kevin Lunsford, Mike Lunsford, Mark Charlton, Scott Charlton, Keith Charlton, Jay Mosley, Mack Byrd and Randy Carter.
