Mr. James Edward Gantt, 83, of Andalusia, died Sat., May 23, 2009, in a Dothan hospital.
Funeral services were Tues., May 26, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Stewart and the Rev. Eugene Meadows officiating and burial following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Gantt of Andalusia; his daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Wayne Hartin and Bobbie and Don Ray of Andalusia; his grandchildren, Sheri Ray (Buddy) Lott of Grand Bay, Ala., Charlie (Brooke) Hartin of Brewton, Amanda Ray (Benji) Farr of Dothan; nine great-grandchildren; his brothers, Satterfield Gantt of Evergreen and Guy Gantt of Brewton; a brother-in-law, L. H. Chavers of Albany, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the West Highland Baptist Church.
