Wilma “Bill” Cuthriell

Ms. Wilma “Bill” Taylor Harrell Cuthriell, 90, of Opp, passed away June 4, 2009, at Florala Health and Rehabilitation, LLC.
Ms. Cuthriell had been retired from Mizell Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for 53 years. She was a very talented musician, serving as the pianist for New Hope Baptist Church for many years and playing the keyboard in local senior citizen bands during her retirement years. Ms. Cuthriell was a very unselfish, caring Christian lady whose faith was evident in the way she lived her life. She loved her friends and family and would do anything to help them. To know her was to love her.
Funeral services were held Sat., June 6, at 11 a.m. in Enon Baptist Church with the Rev. James Pickron officiating and Wyatt Funeral Home directing. Music was provided by Jeff Holderfield and the eulogy given by Ty Cucarola, Ms. Cuthriell’s grandson.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry Harrell and wife, Lynda, of Opp; daughter and son-in-law, Lana Harrell Cucarola and husband, Terry Brownell, of Guntersville; stepson and daughter-in-law, Peadon Cuthriell and wife, Barbara, of Samson; grandson, Ty Cucarola of Decatur; step-granddaughters, Delila Cuthriell Dunn of Enterprise and Leah Cuthriell of Samson; step grandson, Jamie Beagles of Samson; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ty Cucarola, Jerry Harrell, Mike Birge, Albert Cravey, Stuart Taylor and Bennie Ellisor.
Ms. Cuthriell was preceded in death by husbands, R.E. “Boy” Harrell and Wilmer “Dick” Cuthriell; parents, William Melvin Taylor and Icy Della Dauphin Taylor; brothers, Aubrey Taylor, Jesse Taylor and Brogden Taylor; sisters, Myrtie Taylor Stinson and Floral Taylor Parrish; and stepdaughter, Diane Cuthriell Beagles.
