Levrette Barrow

Mr. Levrette Barrow, 88, of Red Level, died Fri., June 12, 2009, at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Sun., June 14, at Keahey Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Eric Bares, Dr. Lavon Odom and Speaker John Newson officiated. Music was provided by Ann Johnson.
Mr. Barrow’s funeral service was held on the day he and his wife were to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. He was a very active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church for more than 33 years, and was a World War II Marine veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie Ruth Barrow of Red Level; a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Ed Gantt of New Bern, N.C.; two grandsons, Jonathan and Jared Gantt of New Bern, N.C.; one brother-in-law, Curtis Williams of Red Level; and three nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were Terry Greene, Buddy Gillman, Marion McCullough, John Newson, Lavon Odom, Curtis Williams, Jonathan Gantt and Jared Gantt.
