Mr. Gene Arthur Baisden, 77, of the Straughn community, died Sat., June 13, 2009, at his residence.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Tues., June 16, at the Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Morgan officiating, and burial followed at Stone Lake Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Reba Baisden of the Straughn community; his daughters and sons-in-law, Bridget and Frank Lord of Andalusia, Sheila Husby of Mobile and Teresa and Ben Farr of Andalusia; his grandchildren, Erica Fowler and Evyn Patterson; a brother and sister-in-law, James K. and Elaine Baisden; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha Nell and Carl Dye, Betty and Todd Cottle and Winnie and Carol Nall; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Baisden is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Eula Baisden and his grandson, Michael Brandon Fowler.
Pallbearers were Claude Summerlin, Leotis Garrett, Donnie Tillman, Kenny Lee, Tommy Welch and Robert McLarin.
The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, the American Cancer Society, or charity of your choice.
