This weekend, the 2009 Babe Ruth 13- and 15-year-old Andalusia, Covington County and Opp All-Star teams will play in the annual district tournament at Andalusia High School.

The 15-year-old tournament is in a double elimination format, while the 13-year-old tournament will be played as a best-of-three series.

Friday, the Andalusia 15-year-old All-Stars will play Covington County at 8 p.m.; and then Opp will play the winner of the Andalusia-Covington County game Saturday at 1 p.m.

The first game in the losers’ bracket will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The semifinal round of the tournament will take place Sunday at 2 p.m. and the finals will be the same day at 5:30 p.m.

In the 13-year-old district tournament, Covington County will play Opp on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the first game.

The second game will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. There will be a third game at 4 p.m., if necessary.
