The husband of the woman found dead in her North Creek Road home early this morning has been charged with murder.

Sixty-three-year-old Dorothy Cravey Copeland was pronounced dead in her North Creek Road home in Florala shortly after 5 a.m.

“Mrs. Copeland had suffered what appeared to be at least one gunshot wound to the head,” a spokesman for the sheriff’s office said. “Investigators have determined that she was murdered by her husband, Bobby Wayne Copeland.”
