Andalusia falls at district tournament

EAST BREWTON — The Andalusia 11-to-12-year-old Little League All-Stars baseball team ended its season Tuesday night at the district tournament, losing to Brewton, 3-2 in extra innings.

Andalusia and Brewton were tied 2-2 heading into the eighth inning. Brewton’s Todd Mayo scored the winning run on a passed ball.

Earlier in the game, Andalusia scored one run apiece in the first and second innings.

Brayden Burkhardt scored the two runs for Andalusia during the game. The first was on an RBI single from Gus Maramon and the second came on a fielder’s choice.

Brewton scored its first run in the third inning when Kyle Davis hit a solo home run.

The second run came in the sixth inning when courtesy runner Tyler Reid stole home.

Kellyn Win earned the win for Brewton on the mound.

Andalusia’s Gus Maramon was 2-for-4 with two singles, one RBI and one walk.
