Mrs. Leosia Maughon Black, 97, of Andalusia, died Fri., July 24, 2009, in a local hospital.
Graveside services were Sat., July 25, at Sanford Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Ganus and the Rev. Ray Armstrong officiating and Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Black was preceded in death by a son, Edward Black Jr.; brothers, Jimmy Maughon and Otis Maughon and sisters, Eula McGlaun and Agnes Harper.
Mrs. Black is survived by a daughter, Dorothy (Forest) Powell of Sanford; son, John Frank (Phyllis) Black of Shepherdtown, W. Va.; grandchildren, Sheri Powell, Greg (Cheryl) Powell, John D. Black and Shane Black; great-grandchild, Madison Black; brother, Foy (Mildred) Maughon of Milton, Fla.; and sister, Cola (Bill) Marshall of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
In lieu of flowers remembrances can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
