Mr. Billy Gene Milhorn, 78, of Andalusia, died Mon., Aug. 17, 2009, in the Andalusia hospital.
Mr. Millhorn retired to Andalusia in 1995. He spent 20 years in the Navy and worked for 25 years for the City of Atlanta (Ga.) in airport maintenance.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Red Oak Baptist Church and burial will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service. The Rev. Eugene Meadows and the Rev. Clyde Northrop will officiate with Bill Pennington delivering the eulogy. Military honors will be observed at the graveside.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth Milhorn of Andalusia; his sister, Virginia Campbell of Powder Springs, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews; as well as special friends, T.C. Smith, E.T. Gunnin and Bill Pennington.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Cannon, Mark Elmore, Grady Elmore, Johnny Pippin, DeWayne Geohagan and Don Bowen.
Honorary pallbearers will be the adult men’s Sunday School class of Red Oak Baptist Church.
The family will accept flowers or memorials to the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Foundation, the Gideon’s or the charity of your choice.
