After losing the first game to Class 3A Luverne Tuesday night, the Red Level Lady Tigers rallied the next three games to force a tiebreaker in Luverne, winning in five games 3-2.

The Lady Tigers’ match results were 21-25, 25-20, 25-9, 16-25, 15-12.

“Overall, the varsity team played OK,” Red Level coach Heather Walden said. “We are still not playing together like I would like to see. We are working on some new formations and there was a lot of confusion (Tuesday night).”

Walden said most of her team had a good night Tuesday and that there still is a lot of work left to do to get ready for area play.

“Adrianna Stewart had a big game with 11 kills and seven service points,” she said. “She really stepped up and I need a lot more of that from her as we go through the season. Morgan Carpenter played a good game from her setter position, landing 18 sets in the match.

“She is finally learning how to play the court,” she said. “She also played well in earning 12 service points. In addition, Ashley Wright and Desi Crain also delivered with their serving (Tuesday night).”

In junior varsity action, the Lady Tigers won in two games, 25-16, 25-15.

Red Level will travel to play Straughn tonight. The matches start at 4 p.m.
