Andalusia defeated Straughn in middle school football action last Thursday night in Andalusia, 12-0.

Andalusia’s Michael McCalman set up a touchdown drive by throwing a 20-yard pass to Zytristen Daniels.

McCalman completed the drive by throwing a 15-yarder to Daniels for his team’s first touchdown of the night to end the first half.

In the second half of the game, McCalman found Daniel Henderson on a 20-yard pass to help set up a 1-yard touchdown carry by Ross Graham for a Bulldog victory.

In addition, Andalusia’s Chase Helms intercepted a pass late in the game to help force time to run out on the clock.

“Straughn is a class act team and it was a hard fought football game,” Andalusia coach Tommy Wright said.

McCalman was 3-for-6 for 75 yards, while Montel Lee, Will Harrison, Quinton Maddox and Ross Graham led the Bulldogs in tackles.

Andalusia will host W.S. Neal tonight at 6 p.m. at the high school stadium.
