The Straughn Tigers will vie for another region win tonight as they play their first home game this season, against Cottage Hill.

The Tigers (1-1, 1-0 in Class 3A, Region 1) defeated Choctaw County on the road last week, 21-0, with the help of Kyle Pickrel recovering two fumbles and scoring one touchdown.

In the second quarter of that game, Pickrel then caught a 15-yard touchdown pass.

Last season, Straughn came back from an 18-point deficit at halftime to come out with a close 31-30 win over Cottage Hill. A blocked field goal by Straughn’s Tanner Lee helped seal that win.
