Rebecca Garagina Huckabaa, 41, of Elba, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sept. 6, 2009.
Rebecca was born Nov. 8, 1967, in Florala. She is preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte, E. Huckabaa; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Crowson; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Huckabaa. She was the oldest of three siblings.
She is survived by her father and stepmother, Wain O. and Janie Huckabaa of Paxton, Fla.; daughter, Charlotte Le’Shea Huckabaa of Opp; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Regina G. Walker of Jackson, Tenn., Patricia J. and Mario R. Melchor of Opp; one stepsister, Kelley S. Hattaway of Paxton, Fla.; one stepbrother and spouse, Jamie (Shondra) Hattaway of Jay, Fla.; two nieces, Karen A. Huckabaa of Enterprise and Riley J. Phipps of Paxton, Fla.; seven nephews, Joshua V. Huckabaa of Jacksonville, N.C., Christopher D. Hansen of Berkeley, Calif., Kyle D. and Cole J. Walker of Jackson, Tenn., Christian, and Austin and Michael Hattaway of Jay, Fla.; one great-niece, Emily C. Huckabaa of Opp; special friends, Donnie R. Maddox of Goodman, Le’Nee Chandler, Kerry Rodriguez and Mary Brown of Elba, Teresa Cox of Ozark, and Joan Boggan and Sadie Pettus of Wing; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial and celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held at Westview Assembly Of God Church in Opp on Saturday at 10 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Westview Assembly Of God Church.
