Pleasant Home is still looking for that first win of the season as the Eagles host Coffeeville tonight after three weeks on the road.

Last week, the Eagles (0-4, 0-3 in Class 1A, Region 2) lost to McKenzie in region play, 49-0.

Pleasant Home coach Robert Bradford said despite the down week his team had last week, one positive is that most of his players are going to be back from injury or sickness.

“I think our guys are pretty much going to be healthy this week,” he said. “It will be the first time in about three weeks that we’ve been pretty close to being 100 percent.”

Bradford said the level of “intensity” has been high this week at practice.

“We had a lot of missed tackles last week,” Bradford said. “That’s been a real focus at practice this week coupled with just intensity and tackling and coming off blocking. “We’ve been really getting after it this week,” he said.

Bradford said it will be good to play at home.

“We’re looking forward to having a home game this week,” he said. “It’s been tough having three road games in a row and we’re glad to be back at home.”
