A new roof at the Covington County Courthouse

Workers with Roger Cobb Painting and Marty Robbins Roofing have been taking to the skies during the month of October as they re-paint the courthouse’s exterior and work to replace the old roof atop the building.

The county commission is paying for the roof replacement and exterior painting with proceeds of a 2005 bond issue for capital improvement projects. Commissioners hope they can also install an elevator with the $540,000 left in the bond issue the county can spend on the project.
