Mr. Woodrow Wilson “Woody” Long, 66, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., died Tues., Oct. 13, 2009, in West Palm Beach, Fla.
A private family memorial service will be held Saturday. A public visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home.
Mr. Long was a well-known folk artist. He was preceded in death by parents, Barney and Sinna Long; brothers, James Long, Roscoe Long and William Long; and sister, Janie Long.
Mr. Long is survived by his wife, Dot Long of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; son, Rick (Kristin) Long of Andalusia; daughter, Jennifer Nichole Long of Tampa, Fla.; four grandchildren, John Logan Long, Parker Steven Long, McKenzie Kirby and Kash Kirby; sisters, Betty Henderson and Nancy Hayman, both of Andalusia and Sheila McCurdy of Tampa, Fla.; and brothers, Reese Long of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and Joe Long of Tampa, Fla.
