Willie Turner

Willie B. Turner, 89, of Milton, Fla., passed away Nov. 4, 2009. He was born Aug. 16, 1920, to the late Frank Turner and Maggie M. Sanders Turner.
He lived the first part of his life in Andalusia then moved to Pensacola, Fla. He retired from Florida Drum Company in Pensacola, where he worked for many years.
When he retired, he moved to Milton to be closer to part of his family. He loved the area in which he lived, because of the wonderful neighbors he had and the Santa Rosa Restaurant was so close to his home.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Oather M. Turner, and a son, Ronnie Turner.
Survivors include his children: Jerry Turner and Sue Bowman, both of Andalusia, Patricia Stewart of Tampa, Fla., Allen Turner of Rogers, Ark., and Robert Turner and William Turner, both of Milton, Fla.; six wonderful grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sun., Nov. 8, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of National Cremation and Burial Society with Pastor Norman Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Ropella, Robert Ropella, Robert Caldwell, James Crooks, Jeremy Rutherford and Patrick Butler.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
National Cremation and Burial Society of Milton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
