Mrs. Erline Sanford Matthews, 78, of McKenzie, died Sun., Nov. 8, 2009, after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held Wed., Nov. 10, from the New Home Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery and Johnson Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Matthews was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenza Matthews; son, Terry Matthews; grandson, Lee Horn; sisters, Lorena McClain, Lois Windham and Viola Merritt; and brothers, Marvin Sanford, Roy Sanford, W.C. Sanford and Hubert Sanford.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Billy and Clidy Matthews of McKenzie, Randall and Angeline Matthews of Georgiana, Sam and Sue Matthews of McKenzie and Ricky Matthews of McKenzie; special friends, Sherry McCall and Josh McCall; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
