Mr. Lloyd Samson Rodgers, 78, of Red Level, died Mon., Nov. 23, 2009, at his residence.
Funeral services were held Tues., Nov. 25, at the New Hope Baptist Church in Red Level with the Rev. Keith Parker and the Rev. Johnny Tucker officiating. Burial followed in Buck Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Marianne Rodgers of Red Level; his daughters and sons-in-law, Vickey and Tim Plant of Tuscaloosa and Melissa and Kenny Varner of Red Level; his son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Susan Rodgers of Red Level; his grandchildren, Kerry (Nicole) Varner, Erin (Josh) Short, Michael Rodgers, Elizabeth Plant and Austin Plant; a brother and sister-in-law, Morgan and Becky Rodgers; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Faye Travis of Evergreen and Eloise and Joe Faircloth of Deland, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mike Brown, Josh Harville, Jason Sasser, Ricky Snider, Shep Lucas, Kerry Varner, Austin Plant and Josh Short.
