Sara Warren Reeves Allen McDonald, 94, of Dothan, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sun., Nov. 29, 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today, Tues., Dec. 1, 2009, at Dothan’s First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lynn Smilie Nesbitt officiating.  Graveside services will follow in Andalusia Memorial Gardens with Robert Byrd directing.  The family will receive friends at the church today, one hour prior to the service.

Sara was born May 16, 1915, in Coffee County, and she lived the early years of her life in Enterprise where she attended Enterprise High School.  She married L.J. Reeves and moved to Andalusia in 1938 and lived there until his death in 1957.
She later married Glynn Allen in 1960 and moved to Troy.  She was elected “Mother of the Year” for the State of Alabama in 1967 and later resided in Enterprise until 1971.  She married W.B. McDonald of Andalusia in 1986 and they moved to Dothan in 1996.
She was very active in each community where she resided throughout her life and was also a faithful servant to the First United Methodist Church in each of those communities. She was the pianist for her Sunday school classes.  Sara was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Dothan.
Sara was preceded in death by three husbands, L. J. Reeves, Glynn Allen and W. B. McDonald; her son, Jackson Warren Reeves; her step-son, Jerry W. Allen; her grandson, Bill Reeves; her parents, Max and Willie Warren; her two sisters, Jean Warren and Florence W. Gunter; and by her brother, Maxwell Lee Warren.
Survivors include her son, Lynn Reeves and his wife Judy of Canton, Ga.; her daughter, Sally Stuckey and her husband Jim of Dothan; her foster son, Mavern Parker of Mobile; her step-sons, Jack Allen and wife Anne of Jasper and Johnny McDonald and wife Shirley of Montgomery; her grandchildren, Jackson Reeves and his wife Cathy, Max Reeves and his wife Lori, Callie Brown and her husband Philip, Curt Stuckey and his wife Heather, Andy Stuckey and his wife Katherine, and Reeves Stuckey; several great-grandchildren, including Warren Reeves and his wife Brandi; numerous nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law, Jean R. Warren of Enterprise..
