Tuesday, the South Alabama Regional Airport Authority (SARA) named Misty Jones and Jed Blackwell co-executive directors of the SARA.

Jones has been acting director since longtime director Bill Benton’s departure in August of 2008.

Blackwell has been employed with the SARA since July 2002 and has served as an aircraft re-fueler and later as airport administrator. Jones has served as special projects manager since October 2003, and interim executive director since 2008.
