Mrs. Mary Lena Gantt Merrill Sullivan, formerly of Andalusia, died Sat., Nov. 28, 2009, in Athens, Ga.
She was born Jan. 5, 1920, in River Falls to William Preston and Georgia McGowin Gantt.
Survivors include her son, Bob Merrill of Los Angeles, Calif.; her daughter, Mary Ben Merrill (Ben) Woolbright of Athens, Ga.; her grandchildren, Deborah (Bob) Googe, Jennifer (Glen) Jackson and Wade Woolbright; and two great-grandchildren, Katie and Nicole Googe.
Funeral services were held Tues., Dec. 1, at the First Presbyterian Church in Andalusia with the Rev. Bob Googe officiating. Interment followed in Magnolia Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.
Memorials may be made to Restoration/Building Fund of First Presbyterian Church, Andalusia, or the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support, Athens, Ga.
