Next week, the Opp Bobcats will travel to play in the Daleville Christmas tournament.

The Bobcats will play Samson in the first game of the tournament — the loser of that game will play two additional games.

There will be seven teams in the tournament. Daleville has a “bye” and will face the winner of the first game in the semifinals.

“(Samson) has had a pretty good year so far,” Opp coach Ronnie Sansom said. “They’ve won some ball games. They’ve got a good shooter and decent-sized players.”

Sansom added that he hopes tonight’s game against Bullock County will help his team next week at the tournament.

“We’re just looking to come off a positive thing at Bullock County and use that game to get ready for some very tough area games coming up after Christmas,” he said. “I think the competition that Samson will provide us will do that.”

The tournament lasts from Monday until Wednesday.
