Ramon F. Sanchez, 84, died at his Wing residence Dec. 25, 2009, after a prolonged illness.
Mr. Sanchez was a graduate of Washington and Lee University and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., as an editor and then made his home on a pecan, cattle and goat farm in Wing.
He is survived by his brother, Fred P. Sanchez, and numerous friends.
In accordance with his wishes, a “quiet and informal graveside service” will be held on Thurs., Dec. 31, at noon at the Holy Cross Cemetery, where he will be buried next to his parents, Frank and Katherine Sanchez.
